The PokePoints can get you into the VIP forums if you obtain the required amount of Points to enter.
One of the VIP forums is a PokeMart you can buy various items for your Pokemon DS games like rare candy, sacred ash, and masterballs.

Well then you can just hang out in the VIP lounge when you get enough points.

The item would be hacked but hacked items don't appear hacked like hacked Pokemon do.
I could've just lied and said 'No the items aren't hacked' and you wouldn't have even known they were.

The items function the same as they would a legit item, it doesn't mess up your game and it doesn't have any special powers.
