Question about EV's
Ok so I am trying to put a actual team together and wanted to know, more about evs and if I should do it off as early on as possible. Like im going to start with an Alakazam for my team. Well its an Abra I got the nature I wanted and am now going to start to level it. But before I do that I wanted to know if I shouldnt level it or not just on anything.
What the "build" I was going for on Alakazam was an additional 40 Def / 252 SpA / 216 Spe EV's should I take these out while its still a young abra? Or wait to work on them with alakazam?

Re: Question about EV's
I've heard somewhere, not so sure if it's true, that if you would start while it's still an Abra it will be stronger than if it were an Alakazam at the time.
But like I said, I haven't tried it out, so I don't know if it's true or not.

Re: Question about EV's
Well if i did it now would I neeed to do it later? Like is there a max to how much can be EV trained into one spot? Also if I did the items like proteins and stuff like that would I need to EV train as much?

Re: Question about EV's
The max EVs that can be put into a Pokemon are: 510.
So that means, 252 + 252 + 6 = 510.
If you want to EV train, you should have an Untrained Pokemon, so the question regarding the Abra; Don't battle it against any Pokemon or use an Exp share. Leave it in the Daycare untill about level 25 - 30. Using Vitamins will help train EVs, so after you take it out of the Daycare, Untrained, use the appropriate Vitamins. Ex: 10 Protien for Attack / 10 Carbos for Speed.
Then, while hes Untrained, you might want to obtain PokeVirus and Power items, as they give you more EVs gained. If you want to have a more in-depth look at EVs and how to train them, watch this Video: Pokemon EV Training Guide!
